The homecoming which coincidences with the world music Day will afford the state government an opportunity to appreciate and reward Imo Artistes for their unrelenting efforts and commitment in skills and talents development.
According to a press release from the Senior Special Assistant to Imo State Governor on Entertainment and made available to Ifeanyicy.com, "June 21st World Music Day,will be that happy day of financial redemption and further empowerment platform for Imo Artistes.No matter the time it takes, there should be no good bye to success for the living." he stated.
Governor, Okorocha who was happy over the successes of Imo sons and daughters in the entertainment industry, while congratulating Cynthia Erivo listed as member of FORBES’ 30 Under 30 Europe 2017, with one step closer to an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony), urged the Imo youths to keep the success candle light always shining.
Meanwhile, world living legend, Oprah Winfrey has congratulated Cynthia Erivo for her great achievement, in a tweet the Color Purple producer Oprah Winfrey wrote: “Tony.. Grammy.. now Emmy. Sister Cynthia take your 3d bow.”
The USA Emmy Grammy Award winner, particularly of Imo descent, you could recall is the first Nigerian in the entertainment industry to come this far.
