The Nigerian Army is holding it first procurement seminar to sensitize the officers and men of the service on the Procurement Act. This is an effort aimed at improving the service delivery of the Nigerian troops.
The seminar is expected to capture government's strict implementation of the public procurement act 200, this is according to the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai. Efficiency procurement in the Nigerian Army is key to increasing combat efficiency, provision of better service and enhancement of innovative enterprises.
The Chief of Army Staff represented by the chief of Policy and plan at the Army headquarters says, the seminar is a great tool for value creation as procurement needs analysis which is emanating from the users.
