Ahead of the People’s Democratic Party primaries coming up on September 2018, the Imo PDP led by Barr. Charles Ezekwem has rejected Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha who was the party flag bearer as at 2015.
The Party on Saturday 25th August 2018 banned Emeka Ihedioha’s foremost media group / structure from operating, the group which is known as the IMO PDP New Media led by Emeka Ihedioha’s boy AIC Akwarandu was said to be used in attacking and blackmailing other guber aspirants and party executives who drummed support for Senator Samdaddy.

Banning of the Imo State PDP Social Media Team.
The State Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Imo State Chapter has authorised the ban of the Imo State PDP New Social media Team and the closure of their office forthwith.
The Ban stem from the re-organization going on in the Imo State Chapter of the Party which shall enable the Party to reposition, re- strategise and energise its publicity department in preparation for the 2019 general elections.
Consequent upon the ban, all members of the New Social Media Team are requested to vacate their office and handover all property and office key to the State Publicity Secretary.
The Chief Security Officer is hereby requested to make sure the office and the keys are properly secured.
Also, the administrators of the following WhatsApp platforms, PDP Orlu Zone, PDP Okigwe Zone, Orlu Zone Youth Leader, Imo PDP Supporters Club, PDP Owerri Municipal, Imo PDP Ward Facilitators, Imo PDP New Media Forum, Owerri Zone PDP Platform, PDP Orlu Zone Media Team, Imo PDP LGA Media Cord., Imo PDP 2019, Imo PDP Social Media Team, Imo PDP Pub. Committee, PDP Round Table and other PDP Platforms, are ordered to suspend all their activities and report to the Publicity Secretary of the Party for further instructions, any administrator who disobeys this order, shall face disciplinary actions by the Party.
