SP ANDREW ENWEREM RETIRES AFTER 35 YEARS IN SERVICE.

HAPPY RETIREMENT FROM THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE AFTER 35 YEARS OF MERITORIOUS AND SUCCESSFUL SERVICE OF THE MAN "SP ANDREW ENWEREM" POLICE PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER, IMO STATE. 

SP Andrew Enwerem enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 1983 as a recruit constable after his primary and secondary education. Not satisfied with the secondary school certificate, in the course of service,  he sought for admission into the Imo State University, Owerri where he graduated with Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology (BSc) (Hons) Sociology. 

In furtherance of his education, he has a Masters Degree (MSc) in Industrial Sociology (in view) at the Imo State University, Owerri. SP Andrew Enwerem has served the Nigerian Police in various local and foreign capacities including but not limited to the following:

i. Police Mobile Force, No. 18 Squadron, Owerri - 1986 to 1992

ii. Police Force Education Unit, FHQ, Kam Salem House, Lagos -1993 to 1999.

iii. Police Force C.I.D Annex, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi-Lagos - 1999 to 2004.

iv. He served with United Nations International Peace Keeping Mission in Kosovo – Yugoslavia between 1999 to 2002.

v. He was Personal Assistance to Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi State - 2003 to 2004.

vi.  He was later sent back to United Nations International Peace Keeping Mission in Kosovo – Yugoslavia 2004 to 2006.

vii. He was Officer In-Charge Police Pensions, Imo State Command - 2007 to 2011.

viii. Personal Assistance to Commissioner of Police, Imo State  2011 to 2012. 

ix. Divisional Crime Officer, Owerri West Division, Umuguma -  2012 to  2013.

x.  Divisional Traffic Officer, Oru East Division, Omuma - 2013 to 2014.

xi. He was appointed Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Imo State Police Command between 2014 and 2018.

HONOURS AND AWARD 

i. SP Andrew Enwerem received the United Nations Medal ‘‘In the Service of Peace’’ for his contributions to International Peace and Global security in 2001

ii. A Knight of St John International (KSJI)

iii. Associate member of the Nigeria Institute of Public  Relations - NIPR

iv. Conferred with two Chieftaincy titles;

a.) Ogbuhuruzo 1 of Isu Ancient Kingdom, Nwangele LGA Imo State 

b.) Akufechaa 1 of Ihim, Isiala Mbano LGA, Imo State

c.) And so many Awards. 

SP Andrew Enwerem has made giant contributions to the security and development of Imo State and the South East in general. 

He is the founding father of the only Police Secondary School in the South East Geo-Political Zone, ‘‘The Police Secondary School’’ Isu – Nwangele, Imo State.

He is married and blessed with children.

He loves charity, reading, sports, as well as making friends.
