MY VISION FOR NDIGBO IS TO SUCCEED ATIKU AS PRESIDENT - IHEDIOHA OPENS UP

Onetime Deputy Speaker of the House of Representative, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha has emphatically stated that his vision for Ndigbo was to succeed Alhaji Atiku Abubakar after his tenure as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Ihedioha maintained that the joy to succeed Atiku was what drives his courage to canvass for his victory in the 2023 election, adding that despite the undue agitation by the people of South East to vote the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, he would never be deterred by the noise.

He made this disclosure at Base Event Center while answering questions from newsmen Tuesday, at the South East PDP Stakeholders meeting in Enugu.

The former federal lawmaker insisted that he would continue to support Atiku Abubakar to win the 2023 election irrespective of whatever name some hired jobless youths call him on social media.

According to him, “it’s non of anybody’s business that am supporting Atiku for President. This is because, as a politician on ground, I have not seen any seriousness or credibility in our brother, Peter Obi to warrant me to support his ambition. The best thing for us to do now is to allow Atiku first. His emergence as President is a sure guarantee for an Igbo person to take over”

Ihedioha further said that politics does not thrive on sentiment nor hinge on tribal pity, adding that nothing would ever push him to make a U-turn in his quest to ensuring that Atiku wins the 2923 Presidential election.

He described as miscreants, those criticizing his speech during the celebration of Mbaise new yam festival in Ghana, advising those calling him unprintable names to look for something to do rather than making him more popular.

  1. Am not sure Ihedioha said this. Ihedioha will vote for Obi.

  2. You call the youths hired jobless youths because of your selfish reasons. And that is why you are castigating Obi and calling him names, it is very unfortunate. Think twice and probably trace your paternity.
