A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jesutega Onokpasa, has said President Bola Tinubu has "failed woefully" in delivering good governance, warning he could end up a one-term president if there’s no improvement.
Speaking on Arise Television on Sunday, Onokpasa criticized the focus on defections from opposition parties, insisting the APC should prioritize performance over political gains.
He also dismissed the recent defection of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori—whom he described as his cousin—as inconsequential, stressing that defections undermine democratic principles.
“It’s not about who joins us; it’s about whether we are governing well. In that sense, we have failed woefully,” Onokpasa said, adding that Tinubu’s administration has struggled to provide relief for Nigerians.
